Draw Down the Walls is a unique project that uses art and language to examine Belfast’s controversial interface walls. They, and the artists they employ, use art to engage traditionally hard to reach groups, in particular detached young people, living on or at interfaces or within interface communities. Activities include talks & discussions, temporary artworks, workshops and high profile participatory art events that use interface walls as a starting point for creative enquiry. Projects address difficult issues through the arts, while challenging perceptions of what art is and what it can do. Cherry has been a regular Draw Down The Walls artist since 2010.
